Would You Rather: Book Edition

I saw this tag going around booktube so I thought, why not?

The Would You Rather: Book Edition was created by Rachel Reads. All you have to do is choose between two choices and voila! It’s super fun to do but also difficult if you really imagine yourself living with your choice and not with the other. Let’s get started!

WOULD YOU RATHER

Read only trilogies or stand alones?

I’m not really a trilogy/series person, so I’d choose stand alones… But can you imagine the life of a book nerd without Harry Potter? Lord of the Rings? Game of Thrones? Hunger Games? Noooooooooooo!!!

Read only female or male authors?

Female authors, maybe? Considering almost all of my favourite authors are women (Gayle Forman, Suzanne Collins, Cecelia Ahern, etc). You just broke my F. Scott Fitzgerald heart. *cries in the corner*

Shop at Barnes & Noble or Amazon?

Okay, where I live there’s no Barnes & Noble, so I’d choose Amazon! My Kindle app approves! But my wallet does not.

All books become movies or t.v. shows?

How about we leave the books alone? No? Okay, maybe movies! Because I’m not much of a t.v. series person like I’m not a book series person, for some reason. There are a few exceptions though i.e. The Walking Dead and Mr. Robot (see I don’t even watch the mainstream ones like Game of Thrones and How To Get Away With Murder!!!!)

Read 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

I don’t mind staying up until 4 am reading a book, but I do mind reading only 5 freaking pages a day. So 5 books per week, it is, thank you very much.

Be a professional reviewer or author?

A professional reviewer! That’s actually the dream. Although I wish I could be an author, I don’t think I really have the patience to do what they do. I might as well stick with reviewing or editing books for you future authors, ya.

Only read your top 20 favorite books over and over or always read new ones that you haven’t read before?

It would be heartbreaking not to be able to reread my favourite ones (have I told you how many times I’ve reread Hunger Games? No? Don’t ask. *hides in deep shame*), but I think to read new ones would be the better choice. I have a problem with rereading my favourite books anyway. Sometimes they turn out to be not as good as the first time around *cough* Paper Towns *cough*  and I’d end up disappointed and hurt… Okay, not really, but you get what I mean!

Be a librarian or book seller?

A librarian, of course! I love recommending books to people, I actually believe I’m so good at it because my friends always turn to me when it comes to book recommendations cause I always get it right. Haha. #braggingnikka

Only read your favorite genre, or every genre except your favorite?

While I wish I could read outside my genre, I would never turn my back from crime & mystery. I grew up with it, in books & movies, and I never seem to get tired of it. So I don’t think I’m going to any time soon! Yeah, probably for the rest of my life!

How many Agatha Christie novels are out there, anyway? A thousand? I can live with that.

Only read physical books or eBooks?

I love both! I’m actually so tired of people shaming eBook readers, ugh. They’re actually very helpful and portable! But I would have to choose physical books, although more pricey than the former.

I’m tagging my friends and fellow bloggers dearmaw, bookfreakrevelations, readbynicka, jasminepearlreads, and beatricelearnstoread!

That’s it for the Would You Rather: Book Edition tag! If you’ve done this before or are planning to, link me to your posts so I can check your answers out!
